ASHOK KUMAR, the inside right and son of Dhyan Chand, the greatest player in Hockey History.
It was Ashok’s sizzling goal in the final against arch rival Pakistan in the 1975 Hockey World Cup in Kuala Lumpur’s Merdeka Stadium.
His goal clinched the first ever World Cup crown for India with a 2-1 victory.

Aslam Sher Khan, India’s substitute defender. He came into the game just five minutes before the final whistle in the 1975 Hockey World Cup semi-final against Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur’s Merdeka Stadium.
His short corner goal evened the score and boosted the morale of India to a 3-2 nail-biting victory in extra time.
